Advice is everywhere, we live in the information age so information and advice are overflowing and there is no shortage of so called words of wisdom from everywhere and everyone. You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and tried the diets—so why are you still stuck?
If you’ve been on your journey of autoimmune healing for more than just a few weeks, then you likely have already realized that not all advice is created equal. Furthermore, there isn’t just one way to reach autoimmune healing for every person. Each person’s journey is going to be different. So no matter what kind of information or advice you follow, you are likely to come across road bumps.
The main reason is that healing isn’t about knowing more—it’s about becoming someone who can actually follow through. How often do you actually take action on the information you’ve read in the books or on blogs or listened to on the podcasts? If you are like me and most other people, you likely haven’t actually put most of what you have learned into action. I know I also have hundreds of recipes and other tips pinned on my Pinterest boards yet how many of them have I actually cooked or used? Not many if I’m being truthful. Yet, I’m a health coach and someone who writes about, podcasts and helps people with autoimmune challenges and their health. So if someone like me who spends more time than the average person looking at recipes and information hasn’t used most of what I’ve found or saved, then what does that say about most other people?
Information vs Transformation
Information is passive. Transformation is embodied.
Information says:
- “Drink more water”
- “Cut out sugar”
- “Manage your stress”
Transformation asks:
- Why do I not follow through?
- What’s getting in the way?
- What support do I actually need?
You don’t need another checklist. You need a different approach. You need more than advice.
Why Advice Alone Doesn’t Work
Here’s what most people miss:
1. Your nervous system matters more than your plan
If you’re overwhelmed, burned out, or exhausted…no plan will stick.
2. Consistency isn’t about discipline
It’s about capacity.
When your energy is low (hello autoimmune fatigue), even “simple” habits feel impossible.
3. You’re stuck in the “consume ? try ? quit” cycle
You keep learning… but not integrating.
The Real Shift: From Knowing ? Doing
Transformation happens when you:
- Simplify your habits
- Focus on one small change at a time
- Build trust with yourself
- Stop chasing perfection
- Support your body (not fight it)
What This Looks Like in Real Life
Instead of:
“I’m cutting out everything and starting fresh Monday”
You shift to:
“I’m adding one grounding habit I can actually sustain”
Instead of:
“I failed again”
You shift to:
“I’m learning what works for my body”
If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of knowing but not doing…
You’re not the problem.
You just haven’t been shown how to create real transformation yet.
And that’s exactly what I help women do.
