How to relieve knee pain can be challenging. I’ve been through quite the journey with my knees and for a few years I had what you would call chronic knee pain and went through a surgery and then a trip to Mexico for stem cells. During this time I used quite a few products to help relive knee pain. Here are the top 10 I would recommend for anyone who is going through knee pain right now. These are also the ones I turn to on the rare occasion I have knee pain.

  1. Doterra Deep Blue Stick– this is one of the few essential oil based products that you can buy with a HSA or FSA and that is approved as an over the counter drug. I use it to roll on the knees for some quick instant relief.
  2. An ice pack- there are various ways to do this. The cheapest way is to put ice cubes into a ziplock bag. You can also use some kind of cloth bag with ice in it. I have some ice packs that I got after my surgery that I use. If you need to find some you can use something like this one.
  3. Turmeric pills or turmeric in smoothies. Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory and it works really well to help reduce pain.
  4. Stretching sessions at a stretching place- Not technically a product but a service. These are in every major city and it can work amazing to help reduce knee pain. I went to one of these places twice a week for about 3 months when I was at the peak of my pain before I did my stem cells.
  5. An infrared heating knee wrap- You can check out the one I used here. This was amazing for helping reduce the inflammation that can cause pain.
  6. Magnets- yes really. Magnets are amazing for helping with all kinds of pain. You can check out the magnet set I have here.
  7. Village Naturals epsom salts with pain relief added in- these are epsom salts you can add to a bath for relief. There are a few different kinds and I’ve tried them all and they work great.
  8. Knee Braces Wraps- I have a few sets of these, including one that was on my knees after my surgery. These are another option I bought on Amazon. These help especially when my knees are achy from cold weather or arthritis.
  9. Easy stretching exercises DVD- Stretching is a must to avoid developing knee problems. I stretch in the morning and evening and throughout the day and it has made a big difference. This stretching DVD helps you with exercises to make it easier.
  10. A good massager- I have the theragun massager and I love this because I can use it my arms, back or anyone else if I start getting some discomfort.
