What daily habits and routines do you have as a part of your life? If you are needing some help, then here are 25 daily habits and routines to embrace for a healthier life.
- Meditation– I like to do this at least once a day. Either first thing in the morning or right before bed.
- Exercise- I find I feel a lot better when I do at least 20 minutes of exercise within the first hour of waking up in the morning.
- Essential Oils- Ever since I started using essential oils in 2010, I feel a lot healthier and get sick a lot less.
- Collagen- taking a collagen supplement has really helped my knees, back and other joints and muscles.
- Using my infrared sauna. This has helped my inflammation and autoimmune challenges and I get sick a lot less.
- Taking a turmeric supplement. Turmeric is a strong anti-inflammatory and I really feel a lot better when I take it.
- Using magnesium and essential oils right before bed. I sleep a lot better with these.
- Sleeping at least 8 hours of sleep a night.
- Reading scriptures and or some kind of inspirational book for at least 15 minutes in the morning.
- Taking my dog for a walk. She behaves a lot better when she gets a walk and it helps me to get moving.
- Moving and or stretching every hour. I have an alert on my oura ring that reminds me to do this and it really helps my knees to do this.
- Not eating sugar. Yep, I’ve given up sugar completely and this has helped my health immensely.
- Turning off all TV and electronics at least 1 hour before bed. I’m not always perfect with this but I try to do this as frequently as possible.
- Cooking all of my food at home and only eating out maybe once a month. When I do eat out, I opt for healthier options even though they are more expensive.
- Not using ibuprofen anymore. I used to have an addiction to it and it’s really bad for your health.
- Going outside for at least 30 minutes even when it’s freezing and there is a lot of snow.
- Taking an extra vitamin D supplement as needed or if I’m starting to feel a bit under the weather.
- Using a neti pot, this helps clear out my sinuses.
- Grocery shopping mostly online. This helps me meal plan at home and stick to my budget.
- Meal planning on Sunday for the rest of the week.
- Taking daily time for self care even if it is only a few minutes.
- Listening to music while working or doing other activities or just to relax and destress.
- Recognizing the things that cause me the most stress and doing everything I can to limit or avoid them.
- Doing puzzles or adult coloring for a few minutes rather than spending all my time on electronics.
- Drinking at least 8 oz of water within the first few minutes of waking up.
