Introduction

Which Gluten Free Bread Is Best ? This can be a difficult question to answer as it is also pretty subjective depending upon the person. Furthermore the challenge with gluten free bread is that unlike the traditional white or wheat bread, there are lots of brands and varities and the ingredients can vary a lot. Furthermore, if you have additional allergies or diet restrictions beyond gluten, then it can make choosing a gluten free bread even more difficult.

Considerations

Is gluten free the only thing that you are worried about when it comes to choosing a gluten free bread? Do you want to chose a bread that is also vegan? What about sugar? Refinded oils? Nuts? These are just some things to think about. For example, if you have thyroid issues, sorghum really isn’t great for you and can be just as hard to digest as wheat yet, it is in a lot of gluten free breads.

My Favorites

I personally prefer either Canyon Bakehouse or Franz for regular gluten free bread or the Simple Kneads for a gluten free sourdough. These breads just taste the best in my opinion and they have the best texture. However, these do have eggs in them and are not nut free. I personally have to be careful with dairy but otherwise do not have to worry about allergies but I do my best to limit sorghum. That said, I actually don’t eat a lot of gluten free bread. I typically make lettuce wraps more than sandwhiches or I use almond flour tortillas like the Siete brand or the Trader Joes Tapioca flour tortillas.

My least favorities

My least favoritie gluten free breads are Knorrs and Udi. I just don’t love the taste or texture and most if not all of these have canola oil in them and I try to avoid this like the plague. I try to only eat olive, avocado or coconut oils as much as all possible. If I have to I will go with sunflower oil but even that I try to avoid as much as possible.

Conclusion

Which Gluten Free Bread Is Best ? It’s hard to really say as different people have different opions.
