Is Thrive Market(affiliate link) worth it? This is a question I have asked myself several times and I continue to ask myself and I know many others have this question too. So if you are wondering if Thrive Market is worth it for you and if you should get a subscription keep reading.

What is Thrive Market and how does it work?

Thrive Market is an online only membership based healthy food and toxin free living shop. You can find a wide variety of foods as well as cleaning and household products on their site. The focus is on healthier ingredients and on products that are greener and healthier for both you and the environment. They also have a large selection of organic products and products that cater to different diets and lifestyles. All of their packaging is recyclable. Most shipments arrive within 3 business days as well so you receive your orders within a really quick time frame. It costs either $12 per month or $60 per year. So obviously the annual membership is much cheaper. They also donate a membership to someone in need- low income for each regular membership purchased.

Who is Thrive Market For?

Thrive Market is ideal for people who are following a special kind of diet or lifestyle such as gluten free, paleo, keto etc as they have a largest selection of foods to support these diets including several options I’ve never seen anywhere else. It is also a great option for people who live in smaller towns or areas where a lot of healthier, organic and specialty foods are not available.

Pros of Thrive Market

The biggest pro is their variety and selection. I’ve found that it really can’t be beat anywhere else. They also have their own Thrive Market brand that is often cheaper than many other name brands. For example: coconut sugar, tapioca starch, gluten free dairy free macaroni and cheese, coconut animos, gluten free soy sauce etc. They also offer grass feed beef, free ranch chicken and other healthier meats shipped frozen for less than I have seen elsewhere. (This is still more expensive than buying regular meat at the grocery store so you still have to decide if it is worth it).

Cons of Thrive Market

The biggest con is the membership fee and not everything is cheaper. For example nuts are usually cheaper either at Costco or Trader Joe’s. (Trader Joe’s has cashews for a good price.) So if you are going to join Thrive Market then you want to make sure to comparison shop to make sure you really are saving money. Of course, the fact that it is online only can be a con since you can’t try before you buy nor can you see items in person. That said, I haven’t found anything that I have ordered there yet to be low quality nor have I ordered anything I didn’t like. I’ve been a member for 1 year and a half now. The last con is that some things just aren’t available for example they don’t have Buckwheat flour.

So here are the things I find are usually worth buying from Thrive Market:
