Introduction

Gluten free recipes for Easter can be a challenge but in reality there are a lot of Gluten free recipes for Easter that you can make and many traditional recipes for Easter that are naturally gluten free. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Gluten-Free Carrot Cake:
    • Ingredients:
      • 2 cups grated carrots
      • 1 cup almond flour
      • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
      • 1 cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar with a few tablespoons of maple syrup)
      • 1/2 cup vegetable oil ( I prefer olive or avocado oil)
      • 3 large eggs
      • 1 teaspoon baking powder
      • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
      • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
      • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
      • 1/2 teaspoon salt
      • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
      • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
    • Instructions:
      • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
      • In a large bowl, mix together the grated carrots, almond flour, gluten-free flour, sugar, oil, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
      • Fold in the chopped nuts if using.
      • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
      • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
      • Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting with your favorite gluten-free frosting.
  • A good gluten free carrot cake is always a great classic Gluten Free recipe for Easter.

  • Deviled Eggs:
    • Ingredients:
      • 6 hard-boiled eggs
      • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
      • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
      • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
      • Salt and pepper to taste
      • Paprika for garnish
    • Instructions:
      • Peel the hard-boiled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
      • Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
      • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
      • Sprinkle with paprika for garnish.
      • Chill before serving.
    • You can also make other gluten free egg recipes including plain hard boiled eggs or adding eggs to gluten free bread or a salad.
  • Honey Glazed Ham:
    • Ingredients:
      • 1 bone-in ham (7-9 pounds)
      • 1/2 cup honey
      • 1/4 cup brown sugar
      • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
      • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
      • Whole cloves for garnish (optional)
    • Instructions:
      • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
      • Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern and insert whole cloves into the center of each diamond if desired.
      • In a small bowl, mix together the honey, brown sugar, mustard, and apple cider vinegar to make the glaze.
      • Place the ham in a roasting pan and brush the glaze over the entire surface.
      • Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes.
      • Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the ham to brown.
      • Let the ham rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Chicken, Carrot, Onion, Cabbage and Potato crockpot– This is not only a great gluten free Easter recipe but also a good classic Sunday dinner recipe.

Roast Beef crockpot with carrots, onions and potatoes- another variation on the above recipe.

Hard boiled eggs with lettuce and chicken, turkey or ham- this is another favorite even when it’s not Easter.
