In today’s times when most of us have more time on our hands than usual, I thought I would share with you 10 of the most impactful health books I’ve ever read. I’ve read a lot of health books and continue to read even more, however, only a small selection makes the list of the best and most impactful health books I’ve ever read.

  1. How to Make Disease Disappear

If you read only one book on this list, this is it. Seriously. If you have any kind of health condition or challenge, this book offers some real practical and in some ways different advice than what you may have heard about how to make that health challenge disappear.

2. The Auto-immune Solution

As someone who is still working on overcoming Hashimoto’s an autoimmune condition, this book has been very helpful and is a book I’ve reread several times.

3. Superfoods

You’ve no doubt heard about superfoods but what exactly are superfoods? While I don’t necessarily agree with everything in this book, this book is what you could call the bible on superfoods, what they are, how to eat them, which ones are the best and so on.

4. The Savvy Gluten Free Shopper

This book is the best I’ve read on how to shop for a gluten free lifestyle without breaking the bank. The advice is solid, down to earth and actually useful.

5. Integrative Nutrition

This book was written by the founder of the health coaching program I attended, the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and has a lot of great insights about nutrition and how it impacts our world and our eating habits.

6. DIY Reflexology

Have you ever tried reflexology? Ideally you will find someone else to do it on you, however, this book is really helpful if you are wanting to try doing it on yourself.

7. Essential Oils: Ancient Medicine

While there are probably hundreds of books on essential oils, this is easily one of the top five. Learn all about essential oils, how they were used as ancient medicine and how they can help you today.

8. Eat Dirt

This is a great book all about how to heal from leaky gut and other digestive issues. A lot more of us have this problem than realize it.

9. The Auto-immune Wellness Handbook

Auto-immune wellness- another topic about which there are tons of books, however, this book is one of the best.

10. Grain Brain

If you’ve ever wondered why a lot of people feel better going gluten free even when they don’t have celiac disease, or wondered if you should go gluten free, then you need to read this book. Easily the best book on why gluten free is a good idea for a lot more people than just those with celiac disease. This book also talks about the connection between gluten and your brain.
