Do you take supplements? If not, you should be. The reality is that with the food supply the way that it is today, it is nearly impossible to get everything your body needs from food. This is especially true if you are eating less than 10 servings per day of fruits and vegetables, or you are eating a lot of processed foods or at restaurants. Even if you eat all organic food, you are still probably missing some things. While I provide a guide on this site that gives you some information on how to choose supplements and I have some supplements that I sell and recommend to most people, from time to time I like to try something new. I’ve found from personal experience that everyone cannot take the same supplements. However, there are some that are better than others and that will work for a larger percentage of the population.
Most supplements that buy off the grocery store shelf are not high quality. In fact, many have GMOS, gluten, dairy, and other added allergens in them. Even worse, some do not actually contain all the ingredients that are listed on the label. So you want to make sure to do your research before chosing supplements.

Supplements are one thing that you really cannot go exclusively on price. In fact, cheap supplements usually are just that cheap and they usually will not give you the benefits you want and may even have unwanted side effects.

I was given the opportunity to try the Nutrigold Whole Food Women’s Multi-Gold and Omega 3 Fish Oil. These are 2 different bottles. I have to say that I was quite impressed at the quality especially for an over the counter supplement. In the past I have preferred supplements either from network marketing companies or from chiropractic and health care offices because they usually have more research that goes into them and are usually of a higher quality. However, I have to say that the Nutrigold supplements are much better than the others I have tried from the store. Here are some of the things I like the best about them:

The fish oil is not from farm raised fish. This is really important as farm raised fish is of a lower qualtiy and you really should not eat it.
Made in the USA. This isn’t to say that other non-USA brands aren’t good but I still consider this to be a good attribute.
The multivitamin is a wholefood supplement and not just vitamins put together.
There is no gluten, dairy or soy in these so they do not have the top allergens that many people have.
They have not added in extra herbs or spices which may be helpful for some but can cause digestive issues in others.
They are powerful enough that you do notice a difference. I took these every day for about 3 weeks before writing this post but I did skip 1 day and I did notice that I had less energy that day.

So I have to say that if you are looking for a high qualtiy supplement that isn’t too expensive Nutrigold is a brand worth trying. They aren’t really cheap but then again as I’ve already mentioned supplements that are too cheap usually aren’t high quality.
