When I first started going gluten free, it was rather eye opening for me as to how many of my favorite salads had gluten in them. However, there are a lot of gluten free salad recipes that taste delicious once you know how to prepare them. Here are 25 of my favorite gluten free salad recipes and combinations.
- Classic lettuce mix with tomato, red onion, feta cheese (or vegan if necessary), cucumber and some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Variation on the salad above- add in some avocado.
- Tuna salad- lettuce mix with tuna, red onion, tomato, cucumber, and olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Variation on number 3- add in some avocado.
- Avocado salad- spring mix with avocado, red onion, tomato and cucumber.
- Pumpkin seed salad- spring mix with pumpkin seeds, sliced chicken breast, avocado, red onion and olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
- Variation on number 6- add in some tomato and or cucumber.
- Pine nut salad- spring mix, pine nuts, red onion, tomato and cucumber.
- Variation on number 8- add in some avocado or chicken breast or both.
- Chicken salad- spring mix, chicken, red onion and tomato.
- Variation on number 11- add in some cucumber and or avocado.
- Quinoa salad- spring mix with some quinoa, red onion, tomato and cucumber and feta.
- Sesame seed salad- spring mix with sesame seeds, avocado, tomato and cucumber.
- Quinoa salad- Quinoa with chopped celery, carrot and onion.
- Variation on number 14- add in some chicken or shrimp.
- Shrimp salad- spring mix, shrimp, fed onion and feta.
- Variation on number 16- add in some avocado.
- Bean salad- black or pinto beans cooked with tomato, canned corn, and avocado with some lemon juice and olive oil.
- Variation on number 18- add in some avocado.
- Black bean salad- spring mix, black beans, corn, avocado, and tomato.
- Strawberry salad- spring mix with strawberries, sliced almonds, diced ham and feta.
- Variation on number 21- add in some avocado, or tomato
- Walnut salad- spring mix with walnuts, red onions, feta and avocado.
- Variation on number 24- add in some tomato.
- Any combination of spring mix, avocado, tomato, red onion, feta, nuts, seeds, shrimp, and chicken.
