Are you searching for some simple autism diet recipes for kids? This is a common problem when starting an autism diet with your kids. Many of the recipes in cookbooks, pinterest and in other locations can be quite complicated and often contain a lot of ingredients. Here are 10 of my favorite simple autism diet recipes for kids.

  1. Ants on a log- You spread celery sticks with peanut butter, almond butter, or sun butter if your kids have nut allergies and then add on some raisins for the ants. This fun, simple snack is tasty, but also healthy and gluten free and casein free.
  2. Rice crackers with peanut butter, almond butter, or sun butter.
  3. Gluten free pizza crust with dairy free casein free cheese, tomato sauce and ham or pepperoni. If you can get your child to eat it, consider adding on some mushrooms, onions, pineapple, spinach or other toppings.
  4. Chicken soup with chicken, carrots, celery, onions, potatoes and cabbage. You can also add mushrooms or some gluten free pasta if desired and if your child will eat them.
  5. Gluten free pasta with tuna and dairy free cheese or nutritional yeast. Try also adding in some peas.
  6. Air fryer chicken and potatoes. You can use an air fryer to make them taste crispy and like fried without using gluten or any other flours. You can also use an air fryer to make chips without other additives and to make other vegetables taste crispy without being fried.
  7. Vegetable stir fry with chicken, beef, or shrimp and riced cauliflower. You can make your own or you can buy it frozen.
  8. Gluten free chicken mcnuggets with broccoli or another green vegetable. You can buy them or make your own with this recipe. This one is more complicated than the other recipes but if your child really likes chicken mcnuggets like a lot of kids, the extra time and effort is worth it.
  9. Baked potatoes with toppings. Just bake the potatoes in the oven or microwave and prepare a variety of toppings such as pineapple, chicken, ham, chili, olives, celery, red onions, dairy free butter, dairy free cheese and more.
  10. Rice pileups. The same as number 9 instead of use rice instead of potatoes. Whole grain brown rice is always better but white rice can also work.
