What best thyroid supplements do I take every day and why? Keep reading to learn about what I take, why I take them and get some ideas on the best thyroid supplements for you if you have a thyroid problem. Please note, however, that these are the best thyroid supplements I have determined for me and every person is different so I highly recommend you get some recommendations for your doctor, a nutritionist, or other health care professional before you just copy my suggestions. This can be used as a guide to what kinds of supplements are available and what you should consider. If you are skeptical about the role that supplements can play with thyroid support, check out this article first.
- A probiotic. I personally take the PB assist from Doterra. I really like this one because it is dual capsuled for better absorption. It also doesn’t require refrigeration which is easier to keep track of and is according to a few experts a better option.
- 5,000 IU of vitamin D. Many of us are vitamin D deficient and need to supplement with it. If you aren’t sure if you need it, you should get your levels checked by your doctor. I’ve found the Trader Joe’s brand to be a good, clean and inexpensive option.
- Zinc- If you have thyroid issues, you need more zinc. I’ve tried a few different kinds and don’t have just one I recommend. Zinc is also really good for your immune system.
- The T3 Conversion Booster Thyroid Support Formula from Dr. Westin Childs. This formula is honestly the supplement that has been the most life changing. It has balanced my T3, and T4 and has just made me feel better overall. If you try only one from this list, this is it.
- Doterra’s Mito 2 Max- This is a great supplement formulated to help increase your energy levels and to help support your adrenal glands. If you have thyroid issues, you also likely need adrenal support.
- A good fish oil- I’ve tried a few different ones. The key is make sure it’s high quality and that it doesn’t have any additives.
There are other supplements I take from time to time for various reasons but these are the ones I use to support and help with thyroid healing.
