Do you prioritize your self care? If not, now is the time to start. Keep reading to learn about my self care checklist for a happy and stress free life. I’ve found that when a stick to this self care checklist, I am much happier and I have a lot less stress.

  1. Stick with a morning routine that includes scripture reading, journaling, reviewing my goals, meditation, a healthy breakfast, exercise, a bath or shower, and essential oils. I avoid social media, TV and movies in the morning.
  2. Take regular breaks throughout the workday. I try to never go more than 3 hours without at least a 10 minute break.
  3. Spend at least 30 minutes outside going for a walk, or enjoying being in nature.
  4. Turn off my computer and TV by 9 p.m. and give myself an hour before bed to wind down and get ready for bed.
  5. I stay in tune with my body and give it what it needs with essential oils, supplements, massages, acupuncture, the right supplements and the right foods.
  6. I avoid sugar, gluten, dairy and other foods that don’t serve me and that result in my feeling less than my best. (90% of the time. I’m still working on doing this 100% of the time.)
  7. I enjoy a massage, a chiropractic adjustment and an acupuncture treatment at least once a month. Sometimes more often if I think I need it.
  8. I shut off everything including my cell phone for a few hours each week.
  9. I have learned to recognize when I’ve had enough and I need a break and I do what I can to make sure I get it.
  10. I plan ahead for my self care. For ideas check out 22 Self-Care Plan Checklists & Printables for a Happier & More Productive You
  11. I spend some time doing child like activities such as playing with a yoyo, coloring with an adult coloring book, playing a card game, reading a book, playing with a dog and other similar fun non-electric self care activities.
  12. I explore new self care activities from time to time to see which ones I want to start doing on a regular basis.
  13. I use at least one of my favorite essential oils for self love.
  14. I re-evaluate my self care checklist at least once a month to determine what I want want to add or remove.
