Do it daily or almost daily- you can’t just dance in your room every once in a while and expect to lose weight

Dance for at least 20 minutes at any one given time and for an hour at least twice per week. (This assumes that you are not doing any other exercise other than normal walking, stretching and movement.)

It can also help to do it before and after meals as this can improve your metabolism.

Change your diet and the rest of your lifestyle. Yes, dancing in your room to lose weight it not a magic key that will still let you eat whatever you want and do whatever you want and still expect your weight to go down.

Use a variety of music and routines. I personlly bought a Nintendo Switch with the Let’s Dance, Ring, Sports, Kick Boxing and Zumba games in order to help me get and stay motivated. Plus the music and movement are fun. I sometimes do this with the TV in my room, but I also use my living room for this. You don’t have to buy the switch and games, but you will want to use various songs and music and try some youtube videos with different music and dance routines.

Why dancing in your room will not cause you to lose weight

You aren’t consistent

You only do it when you feel like it

You are still eating sugar and processed food

You only do it for a few minutes and don’t track your steps

In short, yet you can make this work if you do it properly and regularly.
