Introduction

Hot yoga benefits are a bigger deal than many people realize. Hotworx is a franchise chain offering hot yoga and other hot exercises in cedarwood infrared saunas. You benefit from the combination of exercise with stretching, moving and detoxing with infrared heat. I recently tried Hotworx hot yoga and have fallen in love with it, I wanted to write this post to share with you the hot yoga benefits I have experienced and to share my experience about how it has improved my health and wellbeing.

Why I decided to try hot yoga

If you’ve followed me or read any of my popular posts on this blog, then you likely know that using an infrared sauna and infrared lights changed my life and my health for the better. So when I found out about Hotworx I knew I had to try it. Why not? I know that stretching and exercising and yoga are amazing for your health so the combination of the two sounded amazing. Plus they offer the first session for free so it was a no brainer.

What happened the first time I tried it

It was hard really hard. Yoga and stretching can be hard for anyone but when you have autoimmune challenges and chronic pain like I do, then it can be even more difficult even though it’s amazing for your health. I did have a hard time completing the workout and I made it through about 30 minutes out of the 45 minute workout before I had to stop and just sit out the rest of the time in the sauna. Even then I couldn’t do all the moves. That said, I can’t do all the moves at regular yoga classes so it’s not like I’m not used to not being able to do all the moves. That said you can easily adapt and try moves that are similar but not exactly the same, or even try out your own moves. Plus you can also experiment with trying one of the saunas that has a stationary bike in it for hot cycle instead. They also have a variety of classes such as hot stretch, hot pilates, and more. There are about 15 different options. I noticed right away a boost in energy and less pain.

What has happened in the three months since my first experience with Hot Worx Hot Yoga

I’ve been going about 1-2 times per week and it has helped my pain and inflammation a lot. I notice a big difference if I go more than 5 days without doing it.

Sometimes I may temporarily get more pain however, this usually means that I’m detoxing a lot or I have stretched out muscles that aren’t used to it. I also notice that I must drink more water than normal and this really helps a lot. I also do not use my own personal infrared sauna on the same day that I have done hot yoga. I’m sure that as I continue doing hot yoga and the other hot exercises I will experience even more hot yoga benefits and more improved wellbeing.
