Introduction
Gluten Free Vegetable Recipes are easy to make and fortunately if you are gluten free, the good news is that all vegetables are naturally gluten free. It’s only the sauces, frying and other cooking processes and additives that make vegetable recipes not gluten free. In this post, I will share with you some of my favorite Gluten Free Vegetable Recipes that are also easy to make as well as delicious and healthy.
- Broccoli, Red Onion and Celery- I chop up some red onion and celery. Usually about 1 cup of each and saute with some broccoli in olive oil until medium cooked. I like to use frozen broccoli as it is already chopped and that makes it easier.
- Cabbage with yellow onions and carrots. I slice up some yellow onion and carrot about 1 cup per serving and about 1/4-1/3 a head of cabbage depending upon the size of the cabbage head and saute in olive oil.
- Carrots, yellow onions, celery and spinach. Carrots, yellow onions and celery are always a really good combination in any soup, stew, or stir fry with any kind of meat, however, adding in spinach makes for a really good gluten free vegetable recipe.
- Asparagus, red onion, celery, and sweet potato. This combination is nice and filling without a need for meat or extra carbs. You will need to either use frozen sweet potatoes that are already chopped, peeled and somewhat cooked, or cook the sweet potatoes at least half cooked before adding the other vegetables. You can also use canned asparagus as that is often cheaper.
- Carrot, celery, yellow onion, broccoli and white chestnuts. This is another filling combo.
- Green beans and red onion- another great combo, you can keep it by itself or add in some bacon for a nice tasting flavorful meal.
- Broccoli, red onions, cabbage and black beans. Another delicious combo you can eat solo without adding in meat or other carbs.
- Green beans, corn, yellow onion and chickpeas. Another great combo that also has some carbs and is quite filling.
- Spinach, sweet potato and onion- either red or yellow, both are delicious. Another filling combo.
- Broccoli, asparagus, and red onion.
A few times for being successful with cooking Gluten Free Vegetable Recipes that are healthy, simple and delicious:
Saute until about 3/4 cooked or al-dente in olive oil, avocado oil or sesame oil.
Consider adding in some salsa or tomatoes.
Experiment with different spices such as garlic, herbes de provence, salt and pepper, or paprika.
Try adding in salsa, hummus or guacamole.
Many of these recipes are really good with some roasted potatoes, brown rice or quinoa to keep them vegan or with some chicken, turkey, shrimp, or salmon.
