Watch this video to see me make a basic gluten free stir fry.

In order to make a basic gluten free stir fry, you really only need the following things:

Some cooking oil- I prefer avocado oil or olive oil.

A variety of vegetables- I prefer to start with either yellow or red onion and add in some carrots, celery and at least one other green vegetable. Spinach, asparagus, broccoli or green beans are some of the best ones. You can also add in mushrooms if you have them and want them.

You can make your gluten free stir fry vegan or you can add in some shrimp, chicken or beef.

Then I like to use coconut animos instead of soy sauce. Regular soy cause has gluten so you cannot use that if you are gluten free. There are gluten free soy sauces, but I don’t like the taste and I prefer to avoid soy and coconut animos tastes a lot like soy sauce.

Then you probably want some kind of starch like a rice, rice pasta, or quinoa but you can just eat it without if you are trying to avoid carbs.

I find it helps to start cooking the meat if you are using it and the vegetables first with the oil and withhout any water and then add in only a small amount. Unless you are using frozen vegetables and then there will be enough water as the vegetables defrost in the pan. I start on high and then go down to a medium or low after everything is about 2/3 cooked. I add the coconut animos in at the end right before serving. You can also add in a couple of eggs and stir the rice in the mixture towards the end if you want but this is optional.
