Introduction

Healthy Road Trip Snacks Non-Refrigerated can be a great idea when you know you won’t have access to refigeration or when you know it will be limited. Learn about my favorite healthy road trip snacks non-refrigerated and why I like them so much.

  1. Nuts either single nuts like some almonds, cashews or peanuts or mixed nuts or even a trail mix. With a trail mix you need to be careful to find one without all the added sugars, oils and to make sure it is gluten free.
  2. Baby carrots- while these can taste a bit better if you are able to refrigerate them, you can keep them non-refrigerated for quite some time.
  3. Apples- these are always great and don’t need to be kept cold.
  4. Bananas or banana chips. I really like the banana chips and you don’t have to worry about them going bad.
  5. Plantian chips- similar to a banana these are really good. My favorite place to buy these is at Trader Joes.
  6. Celery with either a nut butter or sun butter. These don’t need to be refrigerated.
  7. Chips- always a good snack. Although you want to be careful to avoid too many and to look for ones that are cooked in avocado or olive oil. Sweet potato chips are always a good healthier alternative.
  8. Crackers- One of my favorite gluten free crackers is the brand Mary’s gone crackers. They are made from ancient grains and seeds and taste really good as well. Grain free crackers like those from Sun Mills are also really good.
  9. Protein bars like RX bar, Lara Bar or any other protein bar that is gluten free, dairy free and sugar free. Most protein bars don’t go in the fridge.
  10. Protein drinks like the boxed version of the orgain protein shake. These don’t go in the fridge and can make not only a great healthy snack but also a meal replacement.
  11. Rice crackers- just make sure they are the plan kind and not the kind with added sugars.
  12. Fruit bars like Just Fruit or Nut and fruit bars like the date and peanut bars from Trader Joe’s.

There are probably other Healthy Road Trip Snacks Non-Refrigerated that you could try but these are my favorites and those I consider to be the healthiest and the most portable for any kind of trip.
