1. Recognize that your child has allergies.
2. Find out what is causing them. Even if you think you know it can be helpful to have your child tested.
3. If your child has food allergies, change his or her diet and avoid the food or foods. If you aren’t sure which food is a problem pick one food that you think could be the one and try having your child avoid it completely for at least a month and see what happens. Then try another food.
4. Get special recipe books to help you. You can find them on Amazon, ask for recommendations from people, search Google etc.
5. Ask for advice from your child’s doctor. He or she may or may not have advice that you want to follow but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
